I harp on it all the time, but fall truly is my favorite time of year. Just one reason why? The fashion! I so prefer ankle booties, jeans and chunky sweaters over sandals, shorts and tank tops (although I do love a really good dress). Regardless, now that fall is here, I’m refreshing my wardrobe with some brand-new pieces!
And what better way to find them than by stopping by the newly renovated Sears located at Oakbrook Center? As you probably saw, I went to Oakbrook for the first time earlier this year with Toyota and was so excited to see the new store was coming! Keep reading below to hear about the grand re-opening, see what pieces I got and how I styled them post-event.
First off, the event itself was so fun! I brought along my best friend Jen and we could tell how excited the neighborhood was about the grand re-opening. I personally grew up shopping at Sears with my mom in Canada so it brings back a lot of childhood memories for me. I also adore how the store is a combination of EVERYTHING including home goods, clothing, hardware and more. Can you say one-stop shop? Original Charlie’s Angels actress, Jaclyn Smith, was even on site to promote her new line.
After we wandered around for a bit, Jen and I shopped the deals and found some pretty incredible prices. We both got the sweater dress shown in my photos here for only $30! It’s such a great fall staple, for work or play, and layers so well underneath coats or jackets. I even ended up snagging this Everlast rain jacket with gold hardware for $33. The only other one I have is an old North Face one, so it was certainly time for an upgrade!
Between the deals and the endless selection of clothing (I’m surprised I somehow didn’t end up buying some new PJs), it was such a blast to stop by the new Sears at Oakbrook Center. If you live in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. I have my eye on this oversized sweater and these booties next! Want your own $100 gift card to spend at Sears?
