It’s no secret that I’m a beauty junkie. At some point during college, I become full on obsessed with everything about beauty products, the industry, and the beauty world overall. So, with that comes trying a ton of news products! I figured as June slowly but surely comes to end and July creeps up on us, there’s no better time than now to share my beauty favorites as of late. Today’s post features the best of the best that I tried in the month of June including makeup and haircare products. Surprisingly, no skincare favorites this month! Next time 🙂 Keep reading to check them out, hear more, and shop ’em!
Trust me when I say I’ve tried a ton of blonde shampoos. I’ve had highlights for a large chunk of my life and even went platinum blonde (or tried to anyway) last summer so cooling it down was an absolute necessity. Amika’s blonde shampoo may be the only one I’ve tried that doesn’t strip my hair. I had never tried a blonde conditioner before this one and I love the idea of using both in conjunction with one another. My hair is noticeably cooler afterward and I still get it clean and moisturized!
Okay, I know I’m a little bit biased because I’m a brand rep but let me say, I’m only a rep because I honestly LOVE Glosser with all of my heart and soul. Boy Brow has converted me from filling in my brows overly so every day to now only using this. It truly does it all. It adds a bit of color in the places you need it (I use the shade blond), holds hairs in place, and adds some dimension too. I’ve always enjoyed RealTechniques products for the fact they’re high quality but insanely affordable. Their new MultiTech collection is seriously no exception. All of the brushes are tapered for seamless and application blending. I particularly love the XXXL brush which is perfect for setting powder. I’ve also been loving the arched powder brush (for powder bronzer) and tapered brush (for blush) from the Bold Metals collection. The metal finish makes them feel more luxurious than they are, as does the weighted feel.
Lately, I’ve opted to curl my hair more often and my naturally wavy/straight hair doesn’t hold a curl all that well. It’s just too clean sometimes! I’ve never been huge on hairspray because it’s often too sticky or holds too well, which doesnt let my curls or waves loosen up like I like them. Once I discovered this Kenra one, my opinion changed. It’s matte, which is nice, and has the perfect amount of hold. It doesn’t make my hair crispy and lightly holds whatever curl or wave I may put into it!
Austin recently bought me this as part of my graduation present and I’m so glad he did! I’ve seen a few friends rave about it and knew I had to have it, especially with my HOOLA bronzer on its last leg. First off, it smells incredible. It applies very well and is quite easy to blend. I like to apply it with this RealTechniques brush since it’s a bit denser and made of synthetic hairs. It gives that perfect golden glow that only the best tan (or bronzer 😉 ) can give. I know the price ain’t pretty, but I’d still recommend!
