Pretty in Polka Dots

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I have a confession to make that is a bit hard for me to admit. I don’t go shopping much these days. It’s not for lack of inspiration or desire, I just simply don’t make time for it and would rather spend my money elsewhere. But, while I was home over Mother’s Day weekend, my mom and I did a lot of shopping! We ended up going to one of my favorite places to find unexpected pieces, Target.

Within the past year, Target has really improved their clothing selection and the quality of the items themselves. One of their lines that I’ve been loving is from Who What Wear. Their new summer line is so unique and affordable and I ended up buying this gorgeous, fun polka dot blouse. Keep reading to see how I styled it and shop the look!

Though the whole Who What Wear collection is incredible, this blouse stood out to me a lot. I love that it’s sheer, making it appropriate for a chilly spring or summer day. The ruffles are fun and unlike anything I already have in my closet. Since it’s black and white, it’s easier to mix and match it with other items in your closet. P.S. For some reason, only the plus-size version of this top is available online right now but check your local Target store too!

I also think that this look would be absolutely perfect for a summer date night! Besides the ruffles, it’s simple and understated. I opted to keep it classic with blue jeans and gold and black accents. Aviators make it a bit more laid back and my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac is the perfect finishing touch. I added some tassel earrings, a trend I’ve surprisingly come to love, for a bit of playfulness. I have to say, this blouse isn’t usually something I’d see myself wearing but I’m so glad I got it. It’s pushing me out of my comfort zone!

What do you think of the Who What Wear collection at Target? Have you had a chance to check it out? Let me know in the comments below and have a great week!
