Gift Guide: The Beauty Maven

Christmas is only two weeks away! Seriously, how unbelievable is that? I’ve done most of my holiday shopping but I still have a few more things to get for my boyfriend, Austin, and my mom. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right? It’s always crazy but it’s gotta get done at some point.

As a makeup, skincare, and haircare lover myself, I’m super excited to share this beauty gift guide today. I hope that it helps you shop for all the beauty mavens in your life! Click read more below to check out my picks, what I love, and what I’m dying to check out.

Gift Guide: the Beauty Maven

ONE // These Evian facial spray minis are my FAVORITE. Not only are they great for beauty lovers, but travelers as well. I usually use mine at my vanity to wet my beautyblender but I also like to use them to hydrate my face morning/night and throughout travel as planes usually get very dry. Once you gift these to someone, I promise they won’t be able to live without them! P.S. Evian is doing a giveaway featuring a Clarisonic and more. Enter here!

TWO // I recently tried a sample of this stuff and I’m close to buying more! The avocado is super brightening. If you read some of the reviews, you might see people saying it’s greasy and doesn’t absorb into the skin in your undereye. This is true to an extent but it’s a cream, not a serum, so it just needs more dabbing in. I’m excited to buy a bigger jar of this and use it more to see results.

THREE // One of my best friends needed new makeup brushes so I got her a set like this from BH Cosmetics for her birthday. I might’ve bought myself a set too! They’re great for the price and I love the black and gold component. The dual fiber makes them super soft and easy to clean. Need eye brushes instead? Check out this set here.

FOUR // Another one of my best friends, Courtney, introduced me to the $14 Sephora cream lip stains a few years ago and I’ve been in love since. I own 01 Always Red but recently bought 13 Marvelous Mauve and fell back in love. The formula is “moussey,” which keeps it lightweight on the lips. They’re super pigmented, last through a meal, and come in a bunch of fun shades. If you have any friends that like matte lippies, this is an affordable one with all the right qualities. I personally have my eye on 14 Blackberry Sorbet next!

FIVE // I think I’ve fallen in love with Beautycounter thanks to a friend, Alena. I personally get quite pasty during the winter months so a sweep of blush and bronzer on my cheeks is much needed. This duo is super pigmented and the best part of all is that Beautycounter’s products are genuinely safe for you and your skin. The company combines high-quality products and has a never list of over 1,500 banned chemicals and ingredients they’re committed to never using. If you want to learn more about the company and their mission, watch this video here. Want some of your own? Order from Alena here!

SIX // I can’t even lie, I don’t clean my brushes nearly as often as I should. Bad habits die hard. When I do clean them, I use the Sephora Collection solid brush cleaner. It’s not pricey and not only does it come with solid soap but underneath the lid, there’s a silicone pad you can use to scrub the dirt out of your brushes. This stuff smells wonderful and truly gets brushes back to looking and feeling brand new.

SEVEN // Anyone who knows me knows that I suck at curling my own hair. I wish I was good at it but I’ve never mastered those sexy, beachy waves. I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about T3’s interchangeable styling wand. Different wands give you different results for a myriad of looks. In my opinion, this would be a great gift for the curl who is always curling her hair with a clamp iron but needs a tech upgrade.

EIGHT // I don’t own this, but I’m dying to. I’m trying to finish up my Gucci Bamboo and Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb first. Not only is the packaging stunning, but YSL Black Opium smells incredible. It’s the perfect mix of girly and edgy. It’s floral but has a musky, woodsy feel to it too. Some of the notes include coffee, jasmine, cedarwood, and mandarin.

What do you think of my gift guide? If you love beauty products as much as I do, leave your picks below in the comments! I’m dying to know what you’re asking for this Christmas 🙂 Have a great rest of your week.
