The past few weeks have been hard to motivate me to get my butt to the gym. I talked in an earlier blog post about the success I found with a structured workout plan and much more time to do so in the first place. It seems whenever the weather becomes colder and gloomier, I’m much less motivated.
The oldest trick in my book when it comes to upping my motivation to workout is a great workout wardrobe. I say it a lot but when you look good, you truly feel good. Click read more below to see photos of my outfit and where I recommend you buy some of your own workout gear!
What I love most about dressing for the gym or a group fitness class like SoulCycle is that I don’t have to put a whole lot of thought into it. It’s easy to just pull pieces together and go while still looking cute and put together. Unlike street style, pieces are more simple.
For this look, I paired a bright coral-orange SoulCycle muscle tank with a white Nike sports bra, Lululemon leggings, and Nike running shoes. I love this top because it’s super thin, making it really breathable and ideal for workouts like SoulCycle where you’ll be sweating a lot. Its low cuts on the side give it a bit of personality too. If you want something more simple but still fun, check out this black on black one. My Nike bra is one of their classic compression ones. I wouldn’t recommend this for any busty ladies as mine is an XL and hardly fits me as a 34C. Instead, try something like this. My pants are the older version of these ones. I love them because they have pockets on the side and one small one at the back perfect for storing a locker key or your phone.
My workout accessories include my matte black Swell water bottle, Lululemon gym bag, and FitBit Flex 2. I seriously take this water bottle everywhere! It’s perfect for work, the gym, or class. It’s about 17 ounces too so drinking five full bottles means I’ve had just enough water for the day. Austin got me this bag for some occasion a while ago. It’s rather big and can fit my laptop, running shoes, toiletries and more. Lastly, I can’t go anywhere without my FitBit. I love the satisfaction of reaching my daily step goal and it keeps me motivated, even on the days I don’t make it to the gym.
