The Bag Every City Girl Needs

I’ve always been the type of girl to use a tote or shoulder bag and never a micro tote or crossbody. The only time you’ll catch me wearing a crossbody is when I’m going out with friends at night and mind you, it’s a timeless Rebecca Minkoff Mini M.A.B.

Nonetheless, I’m constantly in search of the perfect tote, especially now that I’m in college and living in a city, finding a bag to fit all of my necessities can be hard. One night, I was honestly just sitting in my apartment scrolling through Facebook when I came across Dagne Dover. I had never heard of it but after a quick glance of their website, I fell in love and knew I had to share DD with my readers and followers. Finally, a bag that is both functional and fashionable.

The bag I have is the 13-inch in onyx black, a permanent color of Dagne Dover’s collection (duh). The tote itself has a built-in organization system that sold me on it since I’m an organization junkie. It’s a great bag for college students looking to ditch that backpack or young professionals in need of an updated work bag. Because of the classic color, it obviously goes with everything and easily transitions from season to season. They just released their S2016 collection, Modern Mexicana, worth checking out as well.
Inside mine, there is a 13 inch laptop sleeve, an 11 inch tablet sleeve, a phone sleeve, several pockets for things like your wallet, sunglasses, hand sanitizer, etc. and more. Two of my favorite features though are the detachable keychain and insulated water bottle/umbrella holder.  It also has durable, gold hardware and is made of coated canvas. They have other bags too, all with similar organization systems. Learn more about those here.

What do you guys think of this look and the Dagne Dover bag I’ve featured?! Let me know in the comments below as I would love to know 🙂 Have a great week, guys!

I am debating getting this bag in the midi size vs the simone satchel. I work in an office type setting and take public transportation… love the appearance of the simone better but worry that the straps going through the lid would get annoying if I wanted to access my bag while I’m carrying it. Was this a problem for you.. And do you have a preference for any particular bag? Thank you!

It’s not a particular problem for me, honestly! I don’t find myself reaching into it too often while on public transit. I do prefer the Simone Satchel for work over the Legend tote I have. I love the Legend too, but think the Simone is more professional looking.
