So, I know I’ve been a little MIA lately and I’m super sorry! I went home this past weekend to see my parents whom I haven’t seen since before New Year’s (a long time for an only child) and my school work is catching up to me but I have lots of exciting things coming LPM’s way soon so keep an eye out!
To keep you guys up-to-date on a few things, I wanted to share some of my favorite things spanning this past month including all kinds of things from varying categories. So, click read more below and check out what I’m raving about as of late.
1. Skincare: Devonne by Demi 3-in-1 moisturizer
I’m pretty loyal to my Clinique gel moisturizer but this stuff is amazing. Lesson learned? Don’t ever doubt Demi. Not only does it smell amazing but their starter kit is a really reasonable price for the incredible products you get inside. Natural, light-weight, and soothing attributes make this product perfect.
I’ve truly never been one to invest in jeans. Nonetheless, these Henry & Belle ones are worth the investment. They’re made of such high quality denim and they’re the first pair I’ve ever worn that I feel fit me in all the right places. The small details like the ‘hb’ stitched on the back pocket are my favorite. If you’re curvy or athletic, try these out at the Blue Jean Bar on Halsted in LP.
3. Apartment: Keurig and Starbucks Veranda blend
I was never a coffee drinker until I realized how much it can help me function and now I can’t get enough, especially because of my Keurig. My roommate and I use it religiously each and every morning. I like lighter blends so this Starbucks one has been delicious.
4. Skincare treatment: Kiehl’s Dark Spot Corrector
I have a horrible habit of not leaving my blemishes alone so I’ve been left with subtle acne scarring that bothers me so in effort to fix it, I bought this highly rated and fast-acting corrector. It smells amazing containing vitamin C to lighten skin, white birch, and peony (my favorite). I’ll let you know if it’s working in two weeks!
I can’t stop wearing this.. Kendra Scott’s Rayne necklace is so versatile that it’s actually crazy. There are so many colors and I swear it looks good with literally anything that I wear. The abalone shell is especially unique because no two are alike and it’s a naturally occurring stone. Want one? Get 50% off any one item during your birthday month at KS.
Gina Rodriguez is an incredible actress. She won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Comedy in 2014 and was nominated this year. She’s also from Chicago so how can’t you love the girl? I thought the whole premise of the show would ruin it (girl gets accidentally inseminated while she’s dating someone else), but it’s turned out to be an amazing show. Go watch it on Netflix and the CW online!
7. Hair: Rusk Texture Spray
Since I cut my hair shorter a few months ago, I’ve struggled in learning how to style it besides just straight. So, I’ve been trying out a bunch of texture sprays and this one is my favorite affordable option. If you’d like to splurge, get Oribe’s but otherwise, this one smells great and isn’t sticky whatsoever.
